X-Ray Vision

x-rays in toronto

Think only superheroes have x-ray vision? Think again! The Richmond Dental Centre employs the most state-of-the-art equipment necessary to take x-rays,  also known as dental radiographs, and digital photographs of your teeth and gums.

When you have a comprehensive examination during your first visit to our office, it will include x-rays. X-rays allow your dentist to do a thorough and complete assessment, tooth-by-tooth. The process uncovers any problems that exist unseen by the naked eye – cavities or bone loss, for example.

X-rays are a vital component of your dental prevention plan. They allow us to find any small issues before they grow into bigger ones.

Digital X-Rays

The benefit of digital x-rays compared to other types of dental x-rays is that they expose patients to less radiation – by almost 80%. Without film or processing chemicals, digital x-rays provide the dentist with a detailed image almost immediately. Though the quality of a digital x-ray isn’t better than that of film, many dental offices are moving to this technology to help decrease radiation exposure.

Other benefits of digital x-rays include:

  • Results within seconds

  • Convenient electronic storage and easy digital transfer (to you or a specialist)

  • Easy image enhancement to strengthen the diagnosis

At The Richmond Dental Centre, we focus entirely on YOU – the patient. We prioritize your safety and digital x-rays help protect patients better than traditional methods.

You’re safe in our hands!
